Bastille Day in the United States

French-speaking immigrants live in various parts of the United States. Although Americans may need French to English translation services to communicate with immigrants from France, they probably do not need language translation services to participate in festivals to celebrate the French Independence Day, which falls on July 14th. People in France celebrate this holiday by displaying fireworks over the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. Many people around the world also celebrate this French holiday. Several cities in the United States hold large festivals for Bastille Day. For example, the French community of Brooklyn leads a block party that includes live music, French food, and Pastis drinks. Some 50 restaurants across New York City offer special menus through the end of the weekend.

Similar celebrations take place in Seattle, Washington. In the Madison Valley neighborhood visitors enjoy wine tasting, performance by dancers, and French cooking demos. One of the largest parties in Louisiana takes place in the French Quarter. Those who do not speak the French language but are eager to interact with French-speakers who attend the festival can rely on an experienced translator. French translators who are fully comfortable with written and oral translations can help those who speak English only. California Center for Translation & Interpretation handles many projects for the French language. We offer professional translation for French and other major European languages.
