Signing a Joint Cooperation Declaration in Romania

Visiting Romania and meeting in-person with the country’s officials is an effective way for a foreign country to establish a bilateral relationship with Romania. Robert Cazanciuc, Romania’s Justice Minister, has met with Sadakazu Tanigaki to discuss a joint declaration of cooperation between Japan and Romania. Such discussions cannot successfully take place in the absence of translators who are skilled in Romanian translation services. Documents that are handed out at such meetings in addition to agreements that are signed have to be translated into Romanian. For example, the Japanese Justice Minister signed the joint cooperation declaration during his first visit to Romania.

The two countries’ goal is to improve their cooperation in several areas. They also talked about the organization of the judicial system and the reform of the Romanian probation system. The agreement covered all the categories and was translated from Romanian into Japanese for Tanigaki. After meeting with the Romanian counterpart, the Japanese delegation will be visiting a community workshop. The Japanese officials’ trip to Romania is part of a European tour that will also take them to France.
